Dear Authors

This announcement is to inform you of a significant update to the publication policy of Jurnal Rekayasa Sipil (JRS-Unand)

To ensure the continued quality, sustainability, and long-term development of the journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be implemented for all manuscripts accepted effective from Vol 21 No 3 (December 2025)

The APC is set at IDR 500,000 for each article accepted for publication.

This charge is essential to support the critical operational costs of the journal

The introduction of this APC will allow us to uphold our high standards of scholarly publishing and continue providing a reputable platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

    Jurnal Rekayasa Sipil – Universitas Andalas

    To strengthen the dissemination of research findings and innovations in the field of civil engineering, Jurnal Rekayasa Sipil Universitas Andalas cordially invites lecturers, researchers, and practitioners to submit their best scientific manuscripts for publication.

    Scope of Topics (including but not limited to):

    • Material and structural engineering

    • Transportation Engineering

    • Geotechnical Engineering

    • Water resource engineering

    • Construction and Project management

    • Disaster management

    Types of Manuscripts Accepted:

    • Research Articles

    • Review Articles

    • Case Studies / Field Implementation Papers

    • Applied Engineering Papers based on professional practice

    General Requirements:

    • The manuscript must be original and has not been published previously, nor is it currently under review in any other journal.

    • Authors must follow the journal’s template and submission guidelines.

    • All submissions will undergo a peer-review process.

    • Papers will be published after peer-review process in March, July, or December

  • JRS upgraded to OJS 3

    07-03-2025

    Today (March 7, 2025), we successfully upgraded the Open Journal System (OJS) used by the Jurnal Rekayasa Sipil. The old OJS version 2 was successfully upgraded to OJS 3.3.

    This change caused a change in the paper submission process, adjusting to the new OJS. We conducted several tests, and articles with the old OJS can be accessed properly, including opening the paper's PDF file. However, we found the appearance of strange characters in the writing in the abstract and bibliography of the paper.
