  • Vol. 21 No. 3 (2025)

    JRS-Unand Vol.21 No.3, published December 2025.

This edition of the Jurnal Rekayasa Sipil presents eight articles that reflect the advancement of research and practical applications in transportation, water resources, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, construction management, occupational safety, and sustainable materials. The first article discusses travel management of the South Sumatra LRT using the Integer Linear Programming method to optimize scheduling and operational efficiency. The second paper analyzes seepage behavior of the Karian Dam during the impounding phase based on piezometer and V-Notch data as an essential component of dam safety evaluation. The application of Value Engineering in architectural works of a state higher education teaching hospital is examined to improve cost efficiency without reducing functional and performance requirements. Occupational health and safety aspects are addressed through a risk management analysis at the Karangnongko Dam construction project to minimize potential workplace accidents. In the geotechnical field, one study investigates subgrade soil characteristics and ground improvement using geotextile reinforcement through PLAXIS 2D numerical modeling. Structural performance is further discussed through the analysis of diaphragm, chord, and collector elements in L-shaped hospital buildings to ensure adequate load transfer and structural reliability. Another article evaluates the effectiveness of trial grouting on the foundation of the Cibeet Dam to enhance bearing capacity and control seepage. The issue concludes with an experimental study on the compressive strength of paving blocks incorporating gonggong shell waste as a partial substitution for fine aggregate, highlighting the potential of environmentally friendly and sustainable construction materials.

  • Vol. 21 No. 2 (2025)

    JRS-Unand Vol.21 No.2, published July 2025.

This journal issue presents a cohesive compilation of five research articles spanning sustainable materials, project management, housing economics, and digital innovation in civil engineering. Two experimental studies investigate waste material integration in concrete: the first analyzes the effects of wood dust and charcoal powder on concrete's bulk density and compressive strength, while the second examines the influence of rice husk ash substitution on compressive strength. In project management, an article develops an integrated waste management concept to enhance the cost performance of building projects. From a socio-economic perspective, a study identifies key factors influencing public purchasing power for housing, offering insights for developers and policymakers. Complementing the issue, a technology-focused paper introduces an innovative solution utilizing Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D software integration for more efficient and accurate geometric road design. Collectively, these contributions provide comprehensive insights across the construction value chain—from material innovation and process optimization to market analysis and advanced planning technologies.

  • Vol. 21 No. 1 (2025)

    JRS-Unand Vol.21 No.1, published March 2025

This journal issue presents a compelling collection of five research articles addressing contemporary challenges in civil engineering and environmental management. The edition opens with a critical analysis of sustainable construction practices applied in post-disaster housing reconstruction following the 2018 North Lombok earthquake, offering vital lessons for future disaster resilience. Innovation in building materials is explored through a study optimizing the proportion of abaca banana fiber in concrete to maximize its durability and mechanical strength. Further technical analysis is provided through numerical modeling of shallow foundations on clay soil under dynamic loading, crucial for seismic and industrial design. On the environmental front, a study investigates the effectiveness of canal blocking for peatland restoration by analyzing the extent of rewetted area. The issue concludes with a structural performance case study of a Fashion Gallery building utilizing laminated Laban wood, demonstrating the potential of timber as a modern primary structural material.

  • Vol. 20 No. 3 (2024)

    JRS-Unand number 3 Vol.20, published December 2024.

This issue of the journal presents eight papers highlighting significant innovations and research in civil engineering and infrastructure management. The first paper discusses the utilization of granite mining waste to increase the strength of laterite soil in road embankment construction, followed by a study on the selection of protective structures in the face of wet hydrometric disasters. Numerical analysis of the creep effect on the settlement of helical pile foundations is highlighted, accompanied by a study of SCC mix design with high volume fly ash as a cement substitute. Other studies examine the effect of recycled red brick dust on AC-WC mixtures, the application of green building concepts in scheduling, and the impact of road dividers on traffic and road damage based on subgrade performance.

  • Vol. 20 No. 2 (2024)

    JRS-Unand number 2 Vol.20, published July 2024.

This issue of the journal contains six papers discussing construction disputes, transportation, disaster management, and flood control. The first study identifies construction dispute mitigation based on a literature review from 2013 to 2023. The evaluation of the performance of the Trans Jateng Bus and identification of the risk of road construction delays are the next focuses. In addition, the study examines the preparedness of UII students for earthquakes, the analysis of the Benanain River discharge during Tropical Cyclone Seroja, and the effectiveness of retention ponds for flood control in Sukamanah, Tasikmalaya City.

  • Vol. 19 No. 1 (2023)

    JRS-Unand number 1 Vol.19, published March 2023.

This issue of the journal contains six papers that address strategic issues in civil engineering and construction. The first study outlines the priorities for handling dam damage in the Mayang Watershed, Jember Regency. It also reviews the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams with reinforcement corrosion of up to 50% and predicts the compressive strength of lightweight brick mortar using artificial neural networks. Other studies explore the potential for rainwater harvesting in Seraya Village, the effectiveness of Portland Cement Type 1 for stabilizing soft clay soil, and supporting and inhibiting factors for BIM adoption in Aceh.
